365 Things To Do In Costa Mesa – Planes, Trains, And… – Day 27

For some people Sunday is a family day so why not round up the troops and head over to Fairview Park? Fairview Park consists of 208 acres of park space and is the largest city park in Costa Mesa. There are so many things to do there that everyone in the family should be entertained.

What to do:

-Hike/walk on the trails

-Bike ride

-Walk your dog

-Fly a kite

-Ride the train (free on the third Saturday of the month)

-Watch the model glider airplanes flying in the sky

-Kick a soccer ball

-Have a picnic

-Take a nature walk

-Walk over the bridge

-Run (up the hills and up the stairs make for a fantastic workout)

-Meditate

When to go:

The park opens at 7am and closes at dusk. All hours of day are pretty spectacular. Early morning and close to dusk you will have a chance to see amazing colors in the sky and on clear days you can see the majestic mountains looming in the distance and the ocean. In fact, the header photo for this page was taken by Karen Stockman in Fairview Park – thanks Karen!!!
