2017 St. Petersburg Philharmonic

On Mar. 15th, 2017 at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts on 600 Town Center Dr., Costa Mesa, California 92626 the 2017 St. Petersburg Philharmonic will be performing.

The St. Petersburg Philharmonic, founded in 1882, is the oldest symphony orchestra in Russia. Led by Yuri Temirkanov, conductor, the performances of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic’s were characterized by the Washington Post as a “thrilling exuberance” and by The New York Times, “vivid, direct, and full of character.” Sayaka Shoji, a Japanese violinist, will be joining them for Prokofiev’s melodious Violin Concerto No. 2.
