Bach’s St. John Passion

On April 19th, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts on 600 Town Center Dr., Costa Mesa, California 92626 the Bach’s St. John Passion will be going on.

In Leipzig in 1724, composed for Good Friday Vespers, Bach’s St. John Passion includes amongst Bach’s most dramatic and extravagant masterworks, which depicts the execution and trial of Jesus, and draws from the Gospel of John which is interspersed with hymns and arias.
